2010/07/22 23:26 - Tourism Agency, China UnionPay Team Up To Lure Chinese To Japan
The Japan Tourism Agency said Thursday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with China UnionPay Co. to encourage visits to Japan by Chinese.
China UnionPay will issue to mainly gold-card holders a credit card entitling them to special bonuses when visiting Japan. This card will be issued through the start of the Chinese New Year next Feb. 4. Although the perks have yet to be decided, one proposal is for cardholders to earn extra reward points in Japan.
